Celtic Lass Stole
Feel like a Celtic lass when you wear this warm stole with graceful shawl collar and “cable” lace motif.
The stole is begun at one end and worked to the other with a “cable” lace and diamond motif. Then the optional collar is knit separately, increasing in width to the centre, then decreasing to the end to create the graceful curve. After blocking, the collar is sewn to the stole. Our sample is knit in Spruce. NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Intermediate knitters.
Knit with confidence—here's why!

10 balls DK-weight wool/silk yarn. Sample knit with 50% merino wool / 50% tussah silk, each ball 50 g / 105 m.
Finished size
Approx. 60 inches long and 22 inches wide, not including collar (collar is approx. 5 inches deep at widest point). Stole will stretch longer with hanging. It can also be made longer with extra repeats. If knitting to gauge, there should be enough yarn to work 2 extra repeats, or about 5 inches extra length. An even longer stole will require more yarn.
