Gloriana

Gloriana is a truly regal garment, richly embellished with textured lace and lovely details and featuring Japanese stitch patterns. The patterning and feminine shaping of this garment lend it the elegance of another age. Named “Gloriana” after the Tudor queen, Elizabeth I, it evokes a feeling of Renaissance charm. Feel like a queen when wearing this beautiful cardigan!

The peplum is worked in one piece from bottom edge to waistband. The waistband is then knit sideways to the peplum, attaching stitches as waistband is worked. The bodice is picked up from the waistband and worked in one piece to the armholes, then divided for fronts and back. Sleeves are knit flat, then sewn to garment. Front bands and collar are worked last. Sample shown in Size 1. NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced knitters.
