Simply Elegant Stole
Traditional Estonian lace knitting patterns are used in a
non-traditional way to create a contemporary, sophisticated wrap. Wear this stole over jeans or casual skirts, or add extra flair to a tailored suit—it will be simply elegant either way!
The stole is worked by knitting from one end to the other, repeating the charts for the desired length. This is a stocking stitch stole with garter stitch edges and lace worked on one side only. NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced Beginner lace knitters.
Recommended yarn
3 balls laceweight yarn, each ball 50 g / 500 m. Sample knit with 50% mulberry silk / 50% merino wool laceweight.

3.5 mm (US 4) straight or circular needles
or size needed to obtain gauge optional – 4 mm (US 6) or needles one size larger than gauge needles for casting on
