Snowflake Stole
The lovely Snowflake Stole is a gentle paradox—these snowflakes will keep you warm with a drift of snowy (and showy!) lace around your shoulders.
The stole is worked in stocking stitch by casting on provisionally at one end, then knitting the body to the other end. A lacy garter stitch edging is knitted sideways to the body and attached to the live stitches
at each end. There is lace shaping on one side throughout the body of the stole, but the edging features lace shaping on both sides. NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced Intermediate lace knitters.
Recommended yarn
3 balls laceweight yarn, each ball 50 g / 500 m. Sample knit with 50% mulberry silk / 50% merino wool laceweight. (Note: our sample used approx. 995 m, or 2 full balls, so we recommend 3 balls for safety.)
